We have 4 days left on our exploration of Spain. Today in Madrid, it is cold, windy and rainy – a good day to catch up on my blog. The music theater in Barcelona. We went to La Triviata in this amazing building. After 4 weeks here, you realize that art in every form is…
It’s been a while and a lot has happened…
In one of the cathedrals we visited, it was dark and I snapped a picture of this nun. I can now see the Bible in the photo but walking by her, it looked like she was giving me the thumbs up and I appreciated it. Zaragoza has their own version of a leaning tower. Apparently…
When we last left our travelers…
A lot has happened since my last post. We left Segovia and headed for Burgos for a one night stay. Once again, parking the Tesla was nerve racking. Burgos was interesting and offered some nice choices for food. Wine was very inexpensive at €2.50 – €5 a glass, most were actually pretty good. The dish…

There is no There there
“Without a sense of place, wine soon becomes a commodity…” Jancis Robinson 12Mar21. The greatest joy I get from wine (other than sharing it with friends) is exploring new regions, new varietals and different styles of wine. I bought an Israeli Cabernet Sauvignon (2014 for about $15) the other day and was pleasantly surprised -…
